OUT OF THE SPOT LIGHT

This apartment was meant as a retreat for a model/actress who wanted a private venue, away from her home and out of the public eye for hosting dinner parties, meeting friends or spending time with her beloved one. The atmosphere is calm and the color palette sober, reflecting the character of the owner. The biggest challenge we had to face was to work out a layout that could deal nicely with the many structural columns, mostly located in undesired places. We managed to work around them, some disappeared in the walls used to divide the rooms, others in custom made furniture, only one remained exposed in the living room. We first painted it and then defined it with two curved glass surfaces, managing to create a focal point from it. The result was really pleasant.
